Hey you! You're Not Worthless
Hey you! You're Not Worthless
“Even if my father and
mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close.” Psalm
27:10
I think one of the worst
things that we standers feel from rejection of our spouses, is the feeling of
worthlessness. How many times have you felt like you weren't worth loving
because your spouse left you? I know I have struggled with this
myself.
About a week ago in my prayer
time with God, He revealed to me that I still see myself as worthless because my
spouse rejected our marriage. He also told me this is one of the enemy's
biggest lies, and that none of His people are worthless. I know you can relate
to the way that I've felt in the past 3 years, because we can't seem to
understand why our spouses have rejected us, or why they haven't come back
yet. Here's how valuable we are to God:
"Are not two sparrows sold
for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your
Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered." Matthew
10:29-30
Did you catch that? Your hairs
are NUMBERED, each one of the hairs on your head has a number. You better
believe that God notices when one falls, or when new ones grow in. That's how
important you are.. you are not worthless. God has a plan for your life, and
even though it may look like your situation is dead in the natural, rest assured
that God is in control, and His plan is working itself.
Be encouraged today. You are not
worthless, and even though you may be feeling the rejection from your spouse, one
day that rejection will turn into gratitude... Gratitude from your prodigal that
you didn't give up on them.
